Q: How much information do you need to draw a job? A: As much as you can provide. We can work with anything from a hand sketch to a photo. The more information you provide the quicker we can produce the item and the cheaper it will be for you Q: How much will it cost? A: Each job is assessed individually and quoted accordingly. There are no two jobs exactly the same and each job is treated as such. Q: I hear that the castings from CAD waxes have a texture. How bad is it? A: Yes, this process does produce a finish on the cast item that looks a little like tree bark but it isn’t really a problem in most cases it cleans off with the casting clean up process you would normally use. Q: How long will it take to get the images for my customer to approve? A: This depends on how busy we are but in most cases you will receive your rendered images in 2 to 3 days after giving the go-ahead to draw. Q: Can you organise the piece to be finished for me? A: Yes, we can organise for the pieces to be finished off for you. We work in conjunction with a Jeweller with many years experience working with CAD produced items so you will always receive a quality piece. Q: How do I get a quote? A: You can get a quote by either using our online quote form or by emailing or faxing some images to us. Once the quote is ready we will either email or fax it back to you and if need be we will contact you by phone to discuss any issues. Q: What happens to my drawings after they have been finished? A: After your drawings are finished they are stored in a file that is specifically for your business. Your files are secure and will not be used for any other clients. Q: What can I get produced using this process? A: You can produce almost anything you can imagine. As with all processes there are some limitations, but we will discuss those with you on a job to job basis if need be. Q: Why should I use CAD rather than just getting the item handmade? A: The benefits of producing something with CAD are many: 1. Your customer will get to see exactly what they are going to receive and a customer is more likely to commit when they are confident. 2. Unlike having something handmade you can get a CAD file made exactly the same over and over again with minimal cost. 3. Once an item is drawn we can give you an estimate of how much it will weigh so you can quote more accurately.
